Payouts, voided bets and refunds
A bet is not a purchase, so it cannot be returned because you changed your mind. This page sets out the cases where BetKika does return a stake, how winnings are paid, and what happens when a settlement turns out to be wrong.
A placed bet cannot be cancelled
Once our server has accepted a bet it stands. You cannot cancel it, edit it or ask for the stake back because the team news changed or you had second thoughts. The bet slip warns you of this before you confirm, and the confirmation dialog shows the selections, the stake and the return so there is no doubt about what you are agreeing to.
This is not a policy we chose to be harsh. A bet is a priced position on an uncertain outcome, and a bet you could cancel after the price moved would not be a bet at all.
When we return your stake
The stake is returned when the event never takes place, when it is abandoned before completion, or when it is postponed beyond the period the market covers.
The stake is returned when the market was offered in error, including on an event that had already started or finished, or where the fixture displayed was materially wrong.
The stake is returned when the bet was accepted at an obviously incorrect price, meaning a price that could not have been a genuine offer.
In each of these cases the bet is void: the stake comes back, and the bet counts as neither a win nor a loss. In a multiple, the void selection is settled at odds of 1.00 and the remaining selections stand.
What is not refundable
A losing bet is not refundable. That includes a bet lost to a late goal, a disallowed goal, a refereeing decision you disagree with, or a result that was in every sense unlucky.
A bet is not refundable because the live score, the statistics or the line-up shown on our pages was delayed or wrong. Markets are settled from the official result, and where our display and the official result disagree, the official result decides.
A deposit is not refundable simply because it has not been staked. Deposited funds can be withdrawn under the withdrawal rules; they are not reversed back through the payment rail as a purchase refund.
How winnings are paid
A winning bet is settled automatically once the official result is confirmed, and the return is credited to your account balance. You do not have to claim it.
Returns are capped by the maximum payout for the market. Where a win would return more than the cap, the return is the cap, and the cap is shown with the market rather than applied as a surprise afterwards.
Money leaves the platform by withdrawal to the mobile money account you hold. The processing window in force is shown on the withdrawal page itself.
When a settlement was wrong
Settlements are automatic and read from verified results, but a source can publish a wrong result and a competition can officially correct one after the fact. Where that happens we resettle the affected bets to match the corrected official result.
A resettlement can go either way. A bet wrongly settled as a loss is corrected and paid; a bet wrongly settled as a win has that payout reversed. We will tell you what changed and why rather than adjusting your balance silently.
If you believe a bet of yours was settled incorrectly, raise it through the contact form and quote the bet reference. Do it while the evidence for the event still exists rather than months later.
Voided bets obtained through abuse
Where bets were placed through multiple accounts, automated software, collusion, or the deliberate exploitation of a pricing error, we may void them and close the accounts involved.
We return the stake on a voided bet except where the law allows us to withhold it. Voiding is how we undo a bet that should never have been accepted; it is not a fine.
Asking about a refund
Use the contact form. It opens a support ticket with a reference, and a ticket is far easier to follow up than a message with no record.
Tell us the bet reference and what you believe should have happened. We will answer with the official result the settlement was based on, so you can see the reasoning rather than just the outcome.
